Religious Meaning of Christmas – Whole Class Digital Escape Room
This fully interactive escape room is designed to explore the religious meaning of Christmas through a fun and educational challenge. No printing is required—simply open the PowerPoint, and you’re ready to go. The activity includes built-in timers, video clips, and automatic answer reveals after each puzzle.
Ideal for the final days of term, this escape room can be completed individually, in pairs, small teams, or as a whole class. It promotes team-building while keeping students engaged and focused during the festive period.
Overview of the Challenge
The escape room includes seven puzzles, each using a range of skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, reading comprehension, and literacy. The challenge is to work out who stole the presents this Christmas while learning about the religious themes of the season.
Difficulty levels can be adjusted for each puzzle, allowing flexibility to suit your class.

How to Run the Activity
No printing is required, but a team sheet is provided if preferred.
The escape room is guided by a YouTube video, split into nine sections: Introduction, Puzzle 1 to Puzzle 7, and the final success scene.
At designated points, pause the video and complete the relevant slide.
Timers are included for each puzzle to add pace and excitement.
Answers are revealed after each puzzle, allowing for self-assessment and discussion.
This escape room is easy to set up, fully editable, and designed to deliver a meaningful, engaging learning experience as students reflect on the true meaning of Christmas.

If you are looking for a Christmas and Religion based team-building activity to keep your students engaged during the last few days (or week) leading up to Christmas, then this FUN ESCAPE ROOM is for you! There are seven Christmas inspired - 90% subject themed RE (trivia) and 10% Pure Christmas Fun. Students will complete a variety of tasks using different skills including: problem-solving, critical thinking, reading comprehension, literacy challenges and some clever deduction to work out who has stolen the presents this Christmas.
